Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026 · Applies to the ScribeIn mobile app and the scribein.app website, operated by TINYANGLESTUDIO (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “us”).

The short version: patient audio and clinical notes never leave your phone. Our servers only ever see one thing about you — your email address and whether your subscription is active.

1. What the app processes on your device only

Dictation audio is processed in your phone's memory for live transcription only. It is never recorded, never written to storage, and never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Transcripts and clinical notes are created and stored only on your device, in an encrypted vault protected by your PIN. We cannot access them.
Patient information you dictate or type stays inside that on-device vault. We do not collect, receive, store or process patient data on any server.

Because this data never reaches us, it cannot be sold, shared, profiled or breached from our side — we simply do not have it.

2. What we collect on our servers

Your email address, if you create an optional ScribeIn account, used solely to sign you in and verify your subscription.
Subscription status (plan, trial/active/cancelled, dates) and an anonymised device identifier for up to 3 devices per account, used solely to unlock Pro features.
Payment details are handled by Razorpay, our RBI-regulated payment processor. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay's handling of your data is covered by its own privacy policy.

We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell personal data.

3. Legal basis and consent (DPDP Act, 2023)

We process the account data above with your consent, given when you create an account, and as necessary to provide the subscription you purchase. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, after which we retain only records we are legally required to keep (for example, tax invoices).

4. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data, or nominate a person to exercise these rights, by emailing hello@scribein.app. Grievances are handled by our grievance officer (details on the contact page) — acknowledged within 48 hours, resolved within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

5. Data retention and security

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted on request, except where retention is required by law. Server data is stored with industry-standard encryption, hosted in India (Mumbai region). On your device, notes are encrypted and protected by your PIN; documents follow National Medical Commission record-retention norms configured in the app.

6. Children

ScribeIn is a professional tool for registered medical practitioners and is not directed at children under 18.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will notify account holders by email and update the date above.
